As part of our efforts against the trade, we have been instrumental in producing letters through the Asia for Animals Coalition and Asia Canine Protection Alliance to the governments of Cambodia and Vietnam, highlighting the risks that the Dog and Cat Meat Trade poses to animal and human global health. The letters call on the Governments of Cambodia and Vietnam to end the trade now not only to prevent the immense suffering of millions of animals but also to prevent the dog and cat meat trade becoming a potential source of the next global pandemic.
